Our design center develops concepts for new features for all the applications within the Enterprise Service Platform. It also owns the corporate design guideline ensuring a clean, light and consistent UI across all applications as well as an exciting user experience for our end-users.
Your main task is to conceptualize solutions that fulfill the demands of our users and that bring simplicity and usability to our software. You translate user stories into design concepts that are intuitive and functional. You create design deliverables based on our corporate design guideline like mockups, flow charts and UI prototypes.
You‘re responsible for the background research, the functional and the graphical design of new features but also for improving the usability of existing functionality. Being part of agile and cross-functional SCRUM teams, you constantly deliberate with developers and product owners about how to reach the best possible usability within the given constraints. On a daily basis, you discuss your concepts with developers, make realistic estimates of the feasibility of your proposals and convince stakeholders of the added value.
In addition, a large part of your assignment is to introduce user-involvement into the development processes to enable the usage of facts and data for further improving the quality of the software for our end-users.
You mainly work on our application for Service Process Management. This application is currently being developed by four different development teams at our office in Hürth, Germany, with whom you work intensively on a daily basis.
Organizationally, you are a member of the design team, collaborating closely with five other designers. Together with this team, you ensure the overall consistency of the user experience and the UI throughout our product portfolio. The design team is located in Leiden in the Netherlands.

You have a Master’s degree in industrial design, UX-design or interaction design, and at least 3 years working experience in a relevant field.Know How:
You are familiar with trends in design and software technology and you know your way around tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Axure. Preferably, you also have some practical experience with HTML5 and CSS3.Persönlichkeit:
You are passionate about UX, with a happy customer as your ultimate goal. You are used to thinking from different perspectives and personas and can easily visualize complex use cases. You take a lot of initiative to make your designs become reality.
You communicate in a structured way – fluent in both German and English – and you’re able to argue your point of view in discussions with various stakeholders. You’re willing to travel to Leiden for at least 4 days per month to collaborate with your design colleagues face to face.
The job offer concerns a full-time position (40h). You must be authorized to work in the Netherlands as well as in Germany.
